Welcome to Sveriges Bolagsjurister / the Swedish Company Lawyers Association.
Sveriges Bolagsjurister, founded in 1954, is an organization whose main purpose is to provide a network for Swedish corporate and in-house lawyers. By various ways to create a venue for corporate lawyers and to offer added value to its members in the form of series of seminars, mentoring programs etc, Sveriges Bolagsjurister wants to contribute to the exchange of professional experiences and discussions on common issues in the industry.
Sveriges Bolagsjurister is also through its membership in the European Company Lawyers Association (ECLA), the intermediary between the Swedish members and their colleagues in other European countries.
To become a member of Sveriges Bolagsjurister you have to be a lawyer employed by the company, such as legal counsel or equivalent, and where neither the lawyer’s main task nor the company’s main business is to provide legal services to external clients. The company shall be engaged in economic activities and not mainly public functions.
Sveriges Bolagsjurister has over 1,200 members across the country. The vast majority of them are working in Stockholm.
Sveriges Bolagsjurister is led by a board of seven people. Sveriges Bolagsjurister’s highest decision-making body is the Annual General Meeting, which is held twice each year, spring and fall.
Third party service provider Föreningshuset handles some of Sveriges Bolagsjurister’s basic functions, including membership, billing and accounting. Members can email changed contact information to email@example.com, or by phone +46 (0)8-121 513 19.
